System Description
The Robotic Pipe Scanner (RPS) is designed for full, 360-degree coverage of above-ground carbon steel pipelines, such as product lines, flow lines or fire-water lines around refineries, which cannot be inspected using intelligent pigs. Its highly integrated design and fully wireless operation allow inspections to progress at an excellent rate. The manual or remote control tool can clear and bypass installations such as pipe supports, thus facilitating the effective inspection of a large number of pipelines which could not be inspected in the past.

The RPS consists of the following:
