ROPLAST offers an advanced instrument for the pipeline engineer developed by ROSEN: the Pipeline Data Logger (PDL) for  generating a temperature, pressure and pressure differential (delta P) profile along the entire length of a pipeline. It simply bolts on to any cleaning tool. The instrument carries fast-response sensors which provide high-resolution recordings even for pipelines of 500 km or more and a  tool run time of over 30 days. It is supplied with user-friendly software for easy operation and visual data representation.
Detecting restrictions and deposits, monitoring tool behavior and cleaning progress, as well as  verifying process conditions are just a few examples of its possible applications.

The PDL instrument has already been used successfully to locate restrictions in liquid-carrying pipelines (in combination with ROSEN tool tracking equipment), thereby eliminating the need for a geometry inspection tool.

The two basic models PDL4 and PDL14, with their adapters, make it possible to monitor tool behavior and process conditions in all pipelines of 4" diameter and up.
